Pillows to transform your nightly rest.

Finding a pillow that suits your sleep style and your personal preferences can feel like an overwhelming task, where do you even start?

Let’s dive in and discover how our selection of highest-quality pillows can transform your nightly rest and elevate your sleep experience.

Pillows by sleeping position.

Back sleeping

For those who find it most comfortable lying on their back: choose a medium-loft (puffiness) and firmness and the contouring support of memory foam or latex. You're choosing a pillow that supports the natural curve of your head and neck, keeping everything aligned with the spine without causing excessive elevation or sinking.

Pillows for side sleepers

If you sleep on your side, a pillow that is firmer with a higher loft to keep your head aligned with your spine, is the perfect choice. A pillow with less support would cause discomfort. Ultimately you are looking for a pillow that fills the gap between the neck and shoulders, keeping the spine aligned. A pillow that is too low can cause the head to tilt downward, leading to neck and shoulder pain.

Pillows for stomach sleepers

While less common than side or back sleeping, stomach sleeping presents unique challenges for maintaining proper spinal alignment and overall comfort. Stomach sleepers generally need a pillow with a low loft (thin) and soft. A thin pillow helps keep the head in a neutral position, reducing the likelihood of neck strain and maintaining better spinal alignment. Ideal thinner fillings include microfibre, down and down alternatives.

Health Considerations.

Opt for hypoallergenic materials like down alternative or latex if you have an allergy to feathers or feather dander. However, statistically feather allergies are very rare.

An allergic reaction to house dust mites is far more common, in fact, and these little creatures make their home in moist, warm, synthetic fibres. Having a consistent care routine, washing your bedding at 60C (if this is in line with washing instructions) and choosing natural fillings can go a long way to relieving reactions to these allergens by removing them from the surface of your bedding.

Our down and feather pillows are encased in downproof cambric that, to a large extent, prevent dust mites entering the pillow filling. Our down and feather fillings are dedusted before production begins on creating our natural-fill duvets and pillows.

Other things to consider.

Is it time for a change?

Washability: Check if your new pillow is machine washable or requires special care. Pillows that can be washed and dried generally last longer. Check the lifespan: High-quality pillows tend to last longer, and understanding the recommended replacement period (typically every 3-4 years) is important. Investing in protectors increases the lifespan of your pillow.

Which size is best?

Match your pillow size to your bed size and personal comfort. Mix and match standard and king sizes to create interest along your headboard. We suggest using at least 4 pillows for a plush look that you can then pair with scatter cushions of your choice.

Orthopedic & speciality pillows

If you need extra back, hip or neck support, specialty pillows might go a long way to alleviating pressure points and relieving pain. Neckroll and bolster cushions and shaped pillows are perfect for extra neck support. Whilst full body, L-shaped and other pillow pillows are perfect for placing between your knees or elevating your legs a little to prevent pressure on your lower back.
