Types of curtain tops or curtain headings
Eyelet Curtains

Taped curtains

How to choose the correct curtain length
Before deciding on the correct length it is important to measure your space correctly: ensure you measure the width and height of your windows accurately.
Ideally, curtains are twice the width of your window for fullness and a little play on either side of about 20-30cm.
We offer 2 lengths of curtain:
- Standard 218cm
- Extra length 250cm
Protip: we recommend having your curtains 2cm from the floor so they drape well.
The width with depend on the type of curtain top: approximately 230cm width (eyelet) or 265cm (taped). Choose wether you need 2 drops or just one based on how full you want the space to look and if your are covering a single or double window / door.
Protip: for a consistent look, choose the same length throughout your home, for doors and window drapings.
Tips for Choosing the Right Curtains
- Consider the Room's Function: Bedrooms benefit from blackout curtains for a good night's sleep, while living rooms might need sheer curtains to let in light.
- Select the Right Fabric: weightier fabrics like a damask are great for insulation and privacy, while lighter fabrics like cotton or linen are ideal for a breezy look.
- Choose the Right Color and Pattern: Neutral colors are more versatile, while bold patterns can make a statement. Consider your room's color scheme and style.
- Think About Maintenance: Some fabrics require dry cleaning, while others are machine washable. Choose curtains that fit your lifestyle and maintenance preferences.
How to care for your curtains
Proper care will extend the life of your curtains and keep them looking fresh and new. Regularly dust your curtains using a vacuum with a brush attachment or a lint roller.
When washing, follow the care label instructions. Many curtains can be machine washed on a gentle cycle.
Hang curtains to dry to prevent shrinkage, and for heavy fabrics, lay them flat on a clean surface. Iron curtains on a low setting to remove wrinkles, or use a steamer for delicate fabrics to avoid damage. Additionally, check curtain railings and hooks regularly for wear and tear, replacing them as needed to ensure your curtains hang correctly.
Protip: wash your curtains with a washing liquid that has a sun protection factor built in. We recommend washing yours every 2 to 3 months.
